ABOUT US
Capability Brown
Wimbledon Park Heritage Group
In Memoriam to Douglas Gardiner and Ken Ball. Both were founding members of the Heritage Group with Douglas being the person in charge of the history text for the Heritage Trail. He was a fine historian who had a real feel for the parkland and those who owned and used it. The Capability Brown article is largely written by Douglas.
Ken Ball was a postcard collector who built a fine collection of vintage cards representing Wimbledon with many of them included in his web page. Ken was also a very attentive committee member who helped by continuing to look for clarity in important issues.
They will both be missed.
